Code Assist for foundation models, advanced cost management tools, and Model Sentry, an integrated responsible AI solution for in-house generative AI, are included in the Summer 2023 release; Domino expands offerings for cloud-based AI platforms

Domino Data Lab, provider of the leading Enterprise AI platform relied upon by over 20% of Fortune 500 companies, announced new capabilities as part of its Summer 2023 release that make its platform the quickest, most cost-effective, and most ethical way to develop and operate enterprise AI systems. Companies are rushing to take advantage of generative AI, but face obstacles such as complex infrastructure requirements, budgetary constraints, and accountability and safety concerns.

In fact, according to a recent study, 46% of C-level AI executives claim they lack the required governance tools, while 98% struggle to persuade IT to prioritize budgets for AI initiatives.

AI is an existential imperative for businesses. Nick Elprin, CEO and co-founder of Domino Data Lab, stated that the victors will be those who employ it with speed, responsibility, and fiscal savvy.

Leverage the Power of Foundation Models Easily

Domino is introducing new capabilities to assist teams in utilizing or adapting the most potent open-source techniques and algorithms to accelerate the time to value from AI.

Domino Code Assist now enables teams to utilize foundation models with the same ease as autoML. Users can discover the most advanced foundation models, connect them to their data, and generate the code to fine-tune them with just a few clicks.

A new AI Project Hub simplifies the development process by providing teams with pre-trained foundation models and project templates that enable 1-click turnkey solutions out of the box, as well as auto-scaling compute clusters Spark, Ray, Dask, GPUs, and others for large-scale distributed data preparation and model training.

Reduce Expenses, Not Innovation

With AI workloads consuming more expensive cloud resources, Domino’s Summer Release introduces new capabilities to assist businesses in intelligently managing and reducing spend via granular visibility, budgets, and quotas. Users can access customized cost reports by multiple dimensions: user, organization, and project for granular visibility and reimbursement, and they can set quotas and alerts to ensure effective cost governance.

Implement AI with Responsibility

The new Domino Model Sentry is an all-encompassing solution with tightly integrated capabilities that enables businesses to mitigate model risks and implement responsible AI practices. It includes a new unified model registry for comprehensive provenance tracking, and auditability with automated model cards ensures that teams can design and reproduce models responsibly. Model Sentry enables the management of model validation, review, and approval processes that involve all stakeholders, assuring model compliance and risk management.

Increased Cloud-Based Services

Domino also announced that all of these capabilities are included in its revolutionary, expanded SaaS offerings, Domino Cloud and Domino Cloud for Life Sciences.

Domino Cloud now offers support for Nexus. Users are now able to utilize a fully-managed control plane in the cloud with single-pane access to private hybrid data plans, including NVIDIA DGX clusters. Domino Cloud facilitates integration and collaboration across complex multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructures in this manner.

The company introduced Domino Cloud for Life Sciences (DCLS) at Rev 4. DCLS is an audit-ready AI cloud infrastructure with a Statistical Computing Environment that caters to the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
